Privacy & cookies
This is the website for a single short-term rental in Kelowna, BC. It’s a marketing and guest-information site — it doesn’t take bookings or payments itself, so it collects very little about you. This page explains what little there is, in plain language.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you is collected as you browse. We don’t run accounts, sign-ups, or contact forms on this site. We use Google Analytics for anonymous visitor statistics (pages viewed, time on page, referring site) — see the cookies section below for exactly how consent changes what’s stored.
Cookies
We use two kinds of cookies:
- Strictly necessary — a single stored preference that remembers your cookie choice. Always on; it’s what keeps this banner from nagging you.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation and Google Consent Mode. Before you opt in, it collects only anonymous, cookieless measurement (a page count with no cookies stored and no way to identify or follow you). If you accept analytics cookies, it enables full analytics with a first-party cookie so returning visits can be recognised. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are ever used, either way.
You can change your choice any time via .
Third parties
A few pages load content from other services, each under its own privacy policy:
- Booking — the “Book Direct” page links to / embeds our booking provider (Lodgify), where any reservation details you enter are handled.
- Map — the location map uses OpenStreetMap tiles.
- Live conditions — weather and Highway 33 status come from public feeds (OpenWeather, DriveBC) via our own server, which doesn’t receive anything about you.
- Fonts & analytics — Google Fonts, and Google Analytics if you opt in.
Your choices & contact
You can browse with analytics off, clear cookies in your browser at any time, and reach us with any privacy question. We don’t sell data and don’t share it beyond the services above.
